“Steps of Pythagoras”  

4th International Festival in Marathokampos, Samos

The 4th International Festival “Steps of Pythagoras” will take place from August 03 to 05, 2024, in Marathokampos, Samos. The festival is a collective effort of scientists, artists, volunteers, associations, and societies, organized by the Marathokampos Artistic Initiative Team and implemented by the Society of Genealogical and Heraldic Studies, with co-organizer the Municipality of West Samos. It includes numerous noteworthy activities, lectures, visual and musical presentations, all organized with respect for our place and its people.

“Steps of Pythagoras” is an international gathering with the vision of enhancing the cognitive level of participants through the teachings of Pythagoras. As in previous years, the primary goal is to meet the short-term needs of the wider community for meetings and cultural and recreational activities, while simultaneously aiming long-term to rally against the desertification and abandonment of Marathokampos, highlighting the importance of broader collaborations.

It is worth mentioning that during the festival, Marathokampos will host guest speakers from various parts of Greece, addressing scientific and philosophical issues crucial to our everyday lives. Additionally, dozens of local artists will impart their knowledge to adults and children and will adorn the beautiful traditional settlement with their works.
